GNU/Linux Beginners Guide | Resources

You should now have a basic idea on how to set up and use Fedora Workstation. Considering that you probably have more questions, here is where you can find additional help and information. Even if you don't have any more questions, I have only scratched the surface of what is possible.

Finding help within GNOME and its apps

Step A1: Open the overview, type in "help" and press enter to get more help on GNOME itself

Step A2: To get help in many GNOME applications, you can press F1 on your keyboard to open help for that application.

Finding help with command line apps:

Let's say you want to learn about the dnf command

Step B1: Open up a terminal, and type in "man dnf" and press enter

the man command allows you to view manuals for a wide variety of applications, both command line and graphical apps.

Internet resources:

Note: This is an incomplete list. More will be added later.

Fedora Docs - Documentation for Fedora.

Arch Linux Wiki - Wiki for Arch Linux, but it's often useful for users of other distros (such as Fedora Workstation) too.

My resources and guides

If you need help with a particular thing, feel free to send me an email and I will try my best to help you. This won't be the last guide I make and they will go in a section here. Stay tuned!
